The people behind Stealthyx

David Grainger

EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN

After spending 15 years at Cambridge University leading an internationally-recognised laboratory investigating the causes of coronary heart disease, David founded Funxional Therapeutics, where he became the Chief Scientific Officer, developing FX125L, a novel anti-inflammatory agent for the treatment of asthma and other diseases with a chronic inflammatory component. Following the sale of FX125L in July 2012, David joined Index Ventures as a Venture Partner, where he was responsible for the creation, development and sale of XO1 and the creation of E3Bio.

Bob Schroff

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Bob has more than 30 years experience developing a range of drug product candidates in both large and small companies. Most recently, he was VP Research and Development at Funxional Therapeutics, where he was responsible for guiding FX125L from discovery through to Phase 2 clinical trials. Bob is responsible for all aspects of the development of ichorcumab.

Yuti Chernajovsky

FOUNDER AND CONSULTANT CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

Trained as a molecular biologist, his research activities have included the cloning of several cytokines and their receptors. He contributed to the development of interferon β as a therapeutic agent and the use of suicidal genes for cancer gene therapy. His research interests have mainly been to apply scientific findings to develop and improve disease treatments in autoimmunity and cancer, including the development of gene transfer strategies via molecular design and cellular engineering.

Patrick Hextall

CONSULTANT ON CHEMISTRY MANUFACTURING AND CONTROL

Patrick has over 15 years experience in the biotechnology industry in both discovery and development. At Cambridge Antibody Technology and PanGenetics has was responsible for CMC project management of early and late stage clinical development projects. He now works as a consultant providing support for projects ranging from early discovery through to the CMC management of clinical material.

Alasdair Thong

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Alasdair has had experience in business development and strategy roles with a number of healthcare start up companies in the UK and US as well as an investment role at Index Ventures. He currently helps with business development activities at Stealthyx.

Jo Davies

IP MANAGER

After 21 years as a Partner at patent law firm Reddie and Grose, where he established the successful Cambridge office, Jo now acts as patent manager and intellectual property advisor for a number of biotech companies, including X01, STX Pharma and E3Bio.
